I create lifestyle documentary photographs of people, relationships, meaningful work, and the moments that shape a life. Through calm direction and real interaction, I create images that feel honest, expressive, and unmistakably personal.

Private Event Coverage: $750 for up to 2 hours, then $300 per additional hour. Includes 60 fully edited digital images, plus 25 per added hour. Additional images are available in blocks of 25 for $225.
This option is designed primarily for observational event coverage rather than the guided portrait planning, individual direction, outfit changes, and fine art prints included in portrait sessions.
Multi-day and commercial coverage are quoted separately.
The Short Story Session
Perfect for first time clients and seasonal return visits, this session delivers a small set of natural, emotionally true images. We focus on one easy activity to keep things simple and fun, using action prompts and subtle direction so your photos feel candid, warm, and real.

The Chapter Session
More variety and a fuller story. This session gives time to settle in and explore different interactions without staged poses, producing a broader range of candid images. Direction focuses on movement and simple activities so emotions and connection come through naturally. Includes up to 6 people, with $25 per additional person.

The Milestone Session
A fuller story without feeling rushed. This session is perfect for major birthdays, maternity, senior portraits, anniversaries, or transitions like divorce. Guided prompts and simple activities let emotions surface so photos capture the true feel of your memories.

STARTING FROM $950
Flexible payment options are available through Affirm and Klarna.
Sales tax applies to packages that include prints. Short Story is digital only. Included digital files are web-size and licensed for personal online sharing and social media.
Order prints through your Pomare Portraits gallery. Printing through another lab or retailer requires a separate External Print License. Commercial use requires a separate written license.
Travel outside Central Virginia may incur a fee, confirmed before booking.
Rescheduling follows your agreement terms.
FAQ
Do you retouch skin or remove distractions?
I do not do retouching. If there is a temporary distraction, like a scrape or a small blemish, I clean it up. For heavier edits, you can request a custom quote.
Where do sessions take place?
We choose a location that fits your story, either outdoors, at home, or somewhere meaningful. I can recommend options in Central Virginia based on the light, the season, and the vibe you want.
What is required to book?
A signed contract and retainer deposit secure your session date. The remaining balance is due before your session. Payment plans are available for select packages. Chapter and Milestone sessions each include one client-selected fine-art print; framing is not included.
Can we bring grandparents or extended family?
Yes. The Chapter Session covers up to six people, with $25 for each additional person. For larger groups, book The Milestone Session; it allows time for shared and individual portraits. If photographs with a parent or grandparent matter to you, say so when you reach out. Those sessions are planned differently, and I’ll guide you through it.
