They ask for a familiar place, a little space to breathe, and the freedom to be fully themselves. That is exactly what Ray and Shayla’s elopement felt like.

They wanted something small and fast, with no extra noise and no pressure to turn the moment into anything more than what it already was. Just the two of them, in a place they love, doing something unforgettable in a way that still felt simple.

Black Point Park in Homestead made perfect sense for their day. It was already theirs. Not because it was elaborate or dramatic, but because it held meaning. It was a place they loved to spend time together, which made it the right place to begin this next chapter.

The Flow


We started the session with the two of them walking down toward their favorite spot at the beach. Those first moments always tell the truth. Before anyone settles into the camera, before the rhythm of the session fully takes over, there is this brief window where people are just arriving together. With Ray and Shayla, that beginning felt easy. Natural. Light. Like they were exactly where they were supposed to be.

The whole session carried that same energy.

Young, fast, and in love.


Not rushed in a careless way, but in the way love sometimes is when two people already know. When the decision feels clear. When the point is not to build a spectacle around the moment, but to honor it honestly.
